Available in SeroBooks today
Maya is available to SeroBooks customers today. She works over your own sales, stock, prices and money through 31 tools, and every capability that can change something starts switched off until you turn it on. An AI that works with your books should be introduced plainly, so we describe exactly what she does and what she will never do on her own.
Maya lives inside SeroBooks and is also offered as an add-on for SeroPayroll. Voice works in the browser today, so you can ask a question out loud from your desk. To see her on real numbers, visit the Maya page or book a demo, and our team will walk you through what Maya does and how the approval controls work.
What Maya does
Maya knows your sales, stock, prices and money, because it works over the same ledger you do rather than a copy exported overnight. Ask which items are slowing down, what cash will look like at month end, or which supplier delivered late, and Maya answers in seconds. Morning briefings arrive by email or SMS with the numbers that changed and the items that need attention.
Maya also drafts work for you: purchase orders, reorder points and promotions for slow-moving stock. The demand forecasts behind those drafts are trained in Azure Machine Learning and come with confidence ranges and plain-English drivers, so you can see why Maya is suggesting an order before you decide whether to approve it.

Governed by design
Maya never acts without approval. Every draft waits in an approval gate, and every action is written to an append-only audit trail with undo. Value caps and rate limits bound what Maya can propose, larger actions can require step-up authentication or two-person approval, and a single kill switch turns Maya off for the whole business immediately if you ever need it to stop.
Maya also respects roles. It only discloses what the person asking is allowed to see under their SeroBooks permissions, so a cashier cannot learn the company’s margins by asking Maya instead of opening a report. Consent gating controls which data Maya may use, and administrators decide who can work with Maya at all.
Your data stays yours
Customer data is not used to train AI models. Maya runs on Sero’s Microsoft Azure infrastructure with the same tenant isolation, encryption and server-enforced permissions as the rest of SeroBooks. The numbers that describe Maya are deliberately plain: 31 tools over your own data, 0 actions without approval, 100% of actions audited and 1 kill switch.
That is the standard we think an AI employee should meet before it is trusted anywhere near a business’s money and stock. Maya is designed to save you time on questions and paperwork while leaving every decision that matters with the people who are accountable for the business and its results.
Frequently asked questions
Is Maya generally available?
Yes. Maya is available to SeroBooks customers today. She answers questions, sends morning briefings and drafts purchase orders, reorder points and promotions, with every action waiting for approval. Book a demo and our team will show you how she works on your own data.
Can Maya make changes to my books on its own?
No. Maya never acts without approval. Purchase orders, reorder points and promotions are drafted and wait for a person to approve them. Every action is recorded in an append-only audit trail and can be undone, and value caps and rate limits bound what Maya can propose.
What can I ask Maya?
You can ask Maya about sales, stock, prices and money: what sold yesterday, which items are running low, how cash looks for the month or which supplier is late. Maya answers from your SeroBooks data, limited to what your own role is allowed to see.
Is my data used to train Maya?
No. Customer data is not used to train AI models. Maya works over your own data inside your SeroBooks account, under the same encryption, tenant isolation and server-enforced permissions as the rest of the product, running on Sero’s Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
How do I turn Maya off?
Maya has a single kill switch that turns it off for the whole business immediately. Administrators can also limit Maya with value caps, rate limits, consent gating and two-person approval for larger actions, and decide which users are allowed to work with Maya at all.
