Built around how restaurants take orders
Restaurant orders are rarely simple. A burger has a cooking temperature, a side, a sauce and an allergy note, and several of those choices change the price. SeroPOS uses nested modifier groups with upcharges, so servers tap through the choices in a sensible order and the ticket prints exactly what the kitchen needs to cook, with nothing hidden in a free-text note that the grill might miss.
Orders can be held and resumed, moved between tables and split at the end of the meal evenly, by percentage, by item or by custom amounts. Tips, discounts and loyalty redemption are applied on the same screen, and mixed tender handles the table that pays half in cash and half by card without a manager override or a second transaction.
Front of house and kitchen in sync
Drag-and-drop floor plans show live table status, so hosts can seat guests without walking the room to check which tables have cleared. When an order is fired, kitchen order tickets go to the right printer or to the kitchen display system, keeping the grill, the fryer and the bar each working from their own list rather than sorting through one long rail of paper.
For counter-service concepts, dine-in, take-away and delivery modes keep order types separate on tickets and in reports. QR self-ordering lets guests order from the table on their own phones, and online orders arrive in a web-order queue alongside walk-in tickets, so the kitchen sees one queue no matter where the order started.

- Kitchen display (KDS) for screen-based kitchens
- Combos and service products for set menus and fees
Food costing that reflects the plate
Recipe management on SeroPOS Pro breaks each menu item into its ingredients. When a dish sells, those ingredients come off inventory, so stock counts reflect what the kitchen actually used rather than what someone remembers ordering. Low-stock alerts warn you before you run out of a key item in the middle of service, and purchase orders to suppliers can be raised from the same screen.
Ingredient-level costing shows what each plate costs to make against what it sells for. Paired with the P&L, trending and staff performance reports, owners can see which dishes earn their place on the menu and which need a price change, a smaller portion or a quiet retirement before the next menu reprint.
Delivery, phones and reservations
SeroPOS offers delivery-platform menu and order management, with a direct Uber Eats integration rolling out in Canada. We do not claim live DoorDash or Grubhub connections. Your own online catalogue with cart and checkout takes Stripe or PayPal payments today, so you are not dependent on third-party marketplaces for every online order and the customer relationship stays with you.
SeroBot, the AI phone assistant inside SeroPOS, answers calls using your live menu and hours and takes reservations. That frees hosts and servers during the busiest stretch of service, when the phone tends to ring most and when every minute spent answering the same question is a minute away from the guests already seated.
Pricing for restaurants
SeroPOS Standard is $29.99 a month in USD and covers selling, inventory, loyalty, vendor management and chain store management. Most restaurants choose Pro at $49.99 a month because it adds recipe management and ingredient-level costing, advanced reporting, QuickBooks and Xero sync and priority support, which matter once food cost and labour become the numbers you watch every week.
Both plans start with a 14-day free trial with no credit card, no contract and no onboarding fee. Restaurant groups adding locations can manage menus, prices and staff from one account with consolidated chain reporting, and each additional location is a $100 a month add-on rather than a whole new subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Does SeroPOS have a kitchen display system?
Yes. SeroPOS sends orders as kitchen order tickets to kitchen printers or to a kitchen display screen. You can route items by station so the bar, grill and cold line each see only their own items. Many restaurants use a mix, with a screen on the main line and a printer at the bar or packing station.
Can SeroPOS split a bill by item?
Yes. Bills can be split evenly, by percentage, by item or by custom amounts. Each part can be paid with a different tender, including cash and card on the same table, and tips are recorded against each payment so server tip reports stay accurate at the end of the shift.
Does SeroPOS integrate with Uber Eats or DoorDash?
SeroPOS provides delivery-platform menu and order management, and a direct Uber Eats integration is rolling out in Canada. A live DoorDash integration is not available today. Your own online ordering and QR ordering work now, with Stripe or PayPal payments, and those orders arrive in the same kitchen queue as in-store tickets.
Which plan includes recipe costing?
Recipe management and ingredient-level food costing are part of SeroPOS Pro, which is $49.99 a month or $499.99 a year in USD. Pro also adds QuickBooks and Xero sync, advanced reporting and priority support. Standard is $29.99 a month and covers selling, inventory, loyalty and chain store management.
Can servers take orders on a phone or tablet?
Yes. SeroPOS runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets as well as Windows and Mac, so servers can take orders tableside on a handheld device and fire them straight to the kitchen. The same account and menu run on every device, so counter and tableside orders stay consistent.
