Where the Uber Eats integration stands

We’d rather be precise than oversell. SeroPOS includes delivery-platform menu and order management today. A direct Uber Eats integration, which sends orders straight into the POS without anyone retyping them, is rolling out in Canada and isn’t generally available yet. Timing can vary by location while the rollout continues, so ask before you count on it.

If Uber Eats is a large share of your sales, talk to the team about timing for your restaurant before you plan around it. We don’t claim live integrations with DoorDash, Grubhub or Skip. When that changes, this page will say so plainly, and we won’t describe anything as live until restaurants can actually switch it on.

What you can do in SeroPOS today

SeroPOS treats delivery as a first-class order type next to dine-in and take-away. You can manage the menu you offer for delivery, keep prices and availability under control, and run delivery orders through the same kitchen tickets and kitchen display as everything else. The line cooks see one queue, whatever channel the order came from.

For orders you take yourself, SeroPOS includes QR self-ordering and an online catalogue with cart and checkout, paid through Stripe or PayPal. Those orders arrive in the web-order queue and go to the kitchen like any other ticket, with no marketplace commission on top. For many restaurants, pushing regulars toward direct ordering is the best way to protect margins.

What a direct integration adds

With a direct integration, Uber Eats orders appear in SeroPOS automatically and print or display in the kitchen without anyone retyping them from a separate tablet. Menu changes and item availability can be pushed from the POS, so an item that runs out at 7 p.m. comes off the delivery menu without someone hunting for the right screen.

That’s the goal of the Canadian rollout. The usual result is fewer missed or mistyped orders, fewer tablets cluttering the counter and one set of numbers for the shift. Delivery sales are then recorded with everything else, which makes the end-of-night reconciliation and the next day’s reporting simpler for whoever closes.

Accounting for delivery sales

Delivery platforms pay out net of commissions and fees, which makes revenue hard to read from the bank statement alone. When delivery sales are recorded in SeroPOS and flow into SeroBooks, or into QuickBooks Online or Xero on SeroPOS Pro, the full sale and the platform cost can be recorded separately in the books.

That shows you what delivery actually earns after fees. It’s useful when deciding delivery menu prices, choosing which dishes to offer for delivery at all, or deciding how hard to promote your own online ordering. SeroPOS reports let you compare delivery, take-away and dine-in side by side across 25+ built-in reports.

Frequently asked questions

Does SeroPOS integrate with Uber Eats?

A direct Uber Eats integration is rolling out in Canada and isn’t generally available yet. Today, SeroPOS supports delivery-platform menu and order management, plus a delivery order type that runs through the same kitchen tickets and kitchen display as dine-in and take-away orders. Ask the team about timing for your location.

Is the Uber Eats integration available in the US?

The direct Uber Eats rollout is starting in Canada. If you’re in the US and Uber Eats matters to your business, contact the team for current timing rather than planning around a date we can’t yet confirm. Delivery menu and order management in SeroPOS is available in both countries today.

Does SeroPOS work with DoorDash, Skip or Grubhub?

SeroPOS doesn’t have live direct integrations with DoorDash, Grubhub or Skip. You can still manage delivery menus and run delivery orders through SeroPOS and its kitchen display. We’ll update this page when other platforms become available, and won’t describe them as live before restaurants can use them.

Can customers order online directly from my restaurant?

Yes. SeroPOS includes QR self-ordering and an online catalogue with cart and checkout. Payments go through Stripe or PayPal, and orders arrive in the SeroPOS web-order queue and the kitchen, without a marketplace commission. Menu, modifiers and prices come from SeroPOS, so they always match the counter.

How do delivery sales show up in my reports?

Delivery orders recorded in SeroPOS appear in its 25+ reports next to dine-in and take-away, and flow into SeroBooks or, on SeroPOS Pro, QuickBooks Online or Xero. That lets you compare channels and see delivery margins after platform fees, instead of guessing from net payouts.
