Why Global Payments
An integrated terminal means the amount on the POS is the amount on the terminal. Staff don’t key totals by hand, tips are captured with the sale, and end-of-day reconciliation matches without anyone hunting for a mistyped $45 that should have been $54. That’s why Global Payments is the recommended card-present partner for SeroPOS.
Processing cost matters as much as the hardware, and for many merchants it costs more over a year than the POS software itself. Send us a recent statement from your current processor and we’ll beat your rate. That offer is part of how we work with merchants, not a teaser price that rises after a few months.
The Verifone T650p
The Verifone T650p is an Android payment terminal with a 5.5-inch touchscreen and a built-in receipt printer. It connects over Wi-Fi, 4G or Bluetooth, so it works at the counter, at the table, on a patio or at a market stall where the shop Wi-Fi doesn’t reach. It accepts tap, chip and swipe.
For restaurants, pay-at-table cuts the walk back to the register and keeps the guest’s card in sight, which many customers now expect. For retail, a terminal that prints its own receipt frees up counter space and can serve as a line-busting device on busy days, taking payment from customers waiting in the queue.

How payments reach the books
Card sales taken on the T650p are recorded in SeroPOS by tender, with tips attached to the right sale and server, and appear on shift and Z-reports. They flow into SeroBooks, or into QuickBooks Online and Xero on SeroPOS Pro, so card deposits can be matched to the sales that produced them without a spreadsheet in between.
SeroBooks also supports Global Payments terminals for counter sales and card payments on the accounting side. That suits wholesale counters, trade suppliers and service businesses that run mainly in SeroBooks rather than a POS, letting a customer pay an invoice in person and having the payment applied straight away, with A/R updated at the same moment.
No hardware lock-in
SeroPOS runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Mac, with standard ESC/POS receipt printers from Epson, Star and compatibles, kitchen printers, barcode scanners, label printers and cash drawers. You aren’t tied to proprietary hardware for the register itself, so you can reuse equipment you already own and replace parts from any supplier.
If you already have a relationship with Moneris or Gravity Payments, SeroPOS supports those too. Global Payments is our recommendation because of the T650p and the rate offer, not a requirement for using SeroPOS. You can start with your current processor and compare rates later, once the new system is running.
Frequently asked questions
Which card terminal works with SeroPOS?
The recommended terminal is the Verifone T650p through Global Payments. It’s an Android terminal with a 5.5-inch touchscreen, built-in printer and Wi-Fi, 4G and Bluetooth, so it works at the counter or at the table. SeroPOS also supports Moneris and Gravity Payments for card-present payments.
Will you really beat my processing rate?
That’s the offer. Send a recent statement from your current processor and we’ll come back with a lower rate through Global Payments. Rates depend on your business type, volume and card mix, so we quote from your actual statement rather than publishing a single number that wouldn’t apply to everyone.
Is the terminal integrated with the POS?
Yes. The sale total is sent from SeroPOS to the terminal, so staff don’t retype amounts and keying errors disappear. Tips and tenders are recorded with the sale, and card payments appear on shift and Z-reports, which makes the end-of-night reconciliation quick and accurate.
Does SeroBooks work with Global Payments?
Yes. SeroBooks supports Global Payments and Moneris card terminals for counter sales and card payments. That’s useful for wholesale, trade counters and businesses that run sales directly in SeroBooks, because in-person payments are applied to invoices immediately and show up in A/R.
Is card data stored in Sero?
No. Card data stays inside the certified payment terminal. Sero records the payment amount, tender, tip and status for reporting and accounting, but never sees or stores the full card number. That keeps sensitive card data out of your POS and accounting systems entirely.
