Card-present payments
SeroPOS supports card-present payments through Global Payments, Moneris and Gravity Payments. The recommended terminal is the Global Payments Verifone T650p, an Android device with a 5.5-inch touchscreen, a built-in receipt printer and Wi-Fi, 4G and Bluetooth connectivity. That combination makes it suitable for a fixed counter, a busy patio or tableside payment in a full-service dining room.
The sale amount goes from SeroPOS to the terminal, so nobody keys the total twice and nobody mistypes it. The customer taps, inserts or swipes, and the result returns to the sale in SeroPOS. Tips and split payments are recorded against the right part of the bill, which keeps server tip reports and end-of-day totals accurate.
Online and QR payments
For QR self-ordering and your SeroPOS online store, payments run through Stripe or PayPal, two of the most widely recognized online checkouts. Regional gateways, including Razorpay, Paytm, Paystack and Pesapal, bring the total to nine payment gateways, which matters for businesses that operate outside North America or serve customers who prefer local payment methods.
SeroBooks also connects to Stripe and to Global Payments and Moneris card terminals, so invoices and counter sales in the ledger can be paid by card too. A wholesale customer can pay an invoice online, and a walk-in can pay at the trade counter, with both payments landing against the right transaction in the books.

Rates and choice
Processing fees are one of the largest costs a small merchant pays, and one of the least reviewed. Sero’s offer is simple: share your current processing statement and we’ll beat your rate. Because SeroPOS works with several processors, you are not forced onto a single provider just to use the point of sale, and you keep the freedom to move if your needs change.
There are no proprietary terminals to lease from Sero. If you already have a relationship with Moneris, for example, SeroPOS can work with it, and you can compare that against what Global Payments offers through us. The decision about who processes your cards stays with you, based on the numbers.
Security and reconciliation
Card data stays inside certified payment terminals and with the processor, and never touches Sero’s systems. SeroPOS receives the approval result rather than the card number, which keeps your exposure low. Sero does not claim payment-industry or SOC certifications of its own at this stage; those are on the roadmap, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
In SeroBooks, card deposits land in the bank account and are matched during bank reconciliation, so the processor’s payout, its fees and the day’s sales agree in the ledger. Fees are recorded as an expense instead of being netted invisibly out of revenue, which gives you a true picture of what card acceptance costs.
Frequently asked questions
Which card terminals work with SeroPOS?
SeroPOS supports card-present payments with Global Payments, Moneris and Gravity Payments. The recommended device is the Global Payments Verifone T650p, an Android terminal with a 5.5-inch touchscreen, built-in printer and Wi-Fi, 4G and Bluetooth, which works at the counter or at the table.
Can Sero lower my processing fees?
Our offer is that we’ll beat your processing rate. Send us a recent processing statement and we will compare it with what we can offer through our supported processors. Contact our sales team through the website or by phone to start the comparison, with no obligation to switch.
Does SeroPOS take online payments?
Yes. QR ordering and the SeroPOS online store take payments through Stripe and PayPal. Regional gateways such as Razorpay, Paytm, Paystack and Pesapal are also supported, for nine payment gateways in total, so businesses in different markets can offer familiar checkout options.
Does Sero store card numbers?
No. Card data stays inside certified payment terminals and with the payment processor. SeroPOS and SeroBooks receive the transaction result, not the card number. Sero does not currently hold payment-industry or SOC certifications of its own; those are on the roadmap.
Can I keep using Moneris?
Yes. Moneris is a supported card-present processor in SeroPOS, and SeroBooks also works with Moneris and Global Payments terminals. You do not need to switch processors to use Sero software, although we are happy to show you a Global Payments quote for comparison.
